Carolina Greenery

90% sure that the awful woman people complain about is the owner. I’ve spoken with her twice and she can’t wait to be an insulting snob. The place is 4-5 stars if she would go hide her horrid personality in the back. She is an exceptionally rude, condescending bully. We’re there to buy PLANTS, and she treats people like that?!

If you have a dog, they don't want you there. I took my shepherd who IS a service dog to shop for trees and was told he couldn't be there. I was approached by an associate to tell me dogs were not allowed. When I told her he was my service dog she said, "we can't argue with that". When I got to the register I was told once again he couldn't be there. When I told her that was illegal she said this is private property and it was not illegal. Private property or not if it's a business open to the public it's a federal offense to refuse access to a service animal. I assume she was the owner. I went across the road to Plants Direct and was treated with friendly courtesy. There are so many veterans and others who need their service animal. I'm not one to start legal trouble, but I thought others should know.

I really loved visiting Carolina Greenery today. It is a very organized and neat garden center. They have prices marked clearly on signs and handy carts for carrying plants. They had both perennials and annuals that would be great for attracting hummingbirds and butterflies. The staff was friendly and looked like they were planting a huge amount of new plants now. If you are looking for tried and true annuals like vinca then they are the place to visit!

Being handicapped temporarily I called to check the availability of some plants before making the trip. I was placed on hold for over 20 minutes and had to hang up. I waited and called back later and again placed on hold for another 20 minutes with no response. At this point I made the decision to take my business elsewhere. The woman working/owner lost a $400.00 sale. I totally believe in good customer service and was more than willing to wait on hold for her to assist already customers in the nursery. But both times was treated rudely for calling and I got the impression she didn't want to be bothered to answer a simple question. Carolina Greenery you lost a faithful customer today. I love your plants but will no longer be giving you my business. 🥴😡
